Ardurite:
Ardurite is applied to
all surfaces. It is a bonding agent which binds substances together such as any potentially loose material on the exterior of your property.
This is a key stage of the process and vital in stopping the new coating breaking away.
Bag Rubbing:
A process by which a cement mortar is
applied to the surface of rough stonework similar to that
found on old cottages. The mortar is applied so that it follows the
contours of the stonework. As the mortar drys, it is rubbed over with hessian sacking or a similar material.
This has the effect of pressing the mortar firmly on to the stone surface. Finally the mortar is wiped over
with a damp sponge to achieve the desired finish.

Clear Rain Stopper:
A clear liquid substance that is
applied to the existing stone or
brickwork of your property.
It is absorbed into the surface.
Once dry, it provides a tough,
weatherproof membrane for the
external
masonry.
Pebble Dashing:
A
common, rough textured finish,
found on many properties dating
from the 1920's.
Rendering:
A process by which a cement coating is applied over brickwork to
achieve a
smooth finish.
